Wings

The Aircraft

Fixed-wing aircraft range from small training and recreational aircraft to wide-body aircraft and military cargo aircraft. The two necessities for fixed-wing aircraft are air flow over the wings for lifting of the aircraft, and an area for landing. The aircraft is the second fastest method of transport, after the rocket. Commercial jet aircraft can reach up to 1000 km/h. There are many different types of aircrafts such as ,gliders, propeller aircraft, jet aircraft, supersonic jet aircraft, unmanned aircraft, rocket-powered aircraft, ramjet aircraft, scramjet aircraft. The first self-powered aircraft was created by an Englishman by the name of John Stringfellow of Chard in Somerset, who created a self-powered model aircraft that had its first successful flight in 1848.
